Experience with LED bulbs - blinker & reverse

So I was looking at the rear reverse and indicator cups on the new ride, and noticed that they seem quite shallow. This got me thinking that LED 7440s might not quite work as well as the element even on the incandescent is somewhat far from the reflector cup. Anyone have experience with replacing the OE incan bulbs with LEDs? I was gonna go with my default Diode Dynamics HP11s, but again, am questioning whether they will reflect properly (even the XP80s might not work). The other ones that came to mind that actually aim the LEDs back, and not to the sides, are the Philips X-treme Ultinon gen2s. I'm thinking with a rear firing bulb, it would better fill and illuminate the reflector cup.

Also, the front indicator lights seem to be a bit touchy - like one might not turn on, so I hit the light housing, and it comes on. I thought I saw something about wiring harness issues, or am I confusing that with some other post on another forum?

Thoughts - comments - experience - thanks

Not sure about the GD, but I run a LED projector reverse bulb and have seen it on a GE. Bright. Really bright and they fit with no issues.

I use these
Amazon Amazon
for the reverse lights. They are plenty bright and I can see the back very well when reversing at night.

I wouldn't use LED for your indicator because your car would hyperflash, unless you use a resistor, which negates one of the benefits of using LEDs (using less electricity).

I use these
Amazon Amazon
for my brake lights.

This one
Amazon Amazon
for my center brake light

Thanks for the feedback and experience! 👍

Referring back to my second question, has anyone had issues with faulty front marker lights? Maybe I should start a new thread as this one is titled for LED lights?

I would say to check if the bulb is seated tightly with the harness. Sometimes they can go loose and not work. Our cars are pretty old and with all the vibrations over the years.
