possible disconnected hose underneath car?

Hi,

Apologies if this is a stupid question, but what is this hose? ...should it be attached to anything?

Thanks!

It looks pretty obvious the rubber hose and that plastic nipple, which are both matching sizes and right next to each other should connect together.

edit: at least that's what it LOOKS like... I tried looking through Bernardi's parts diagrams... but not getting much... maybe a drain tube... https://www.bernardiparts.com/Produc...8-SLN-A00.aspx

It's not a stupid question, looks like a hose disconnected from fuel vapor canister vent shut off valve. It allows outside air to enter canister when vapors are pulled out into the engine via purge valve (on old cars there were no valves , outside air was allowed in) so instead of air coming via plastic line from under hood it had air coming from under car. (I'll double check on my car and made necessary corrections)
PS Nice control arms , on mine the bushings are starting to fail!
