My A/C stops working in 15 minutes. then an hour later it starts working again and It works every time in the morning. i thought the a/c was low on refrigerant so I had it filled up since it was running low. but it did not fix the problem at all. a/c lights is on but the a/c comes on and off everytime and I am planning on going on a long road trip so, please help!

When the ac stops working check to see if the compressor clutch is still engaged or not. I had a similar problem and it was because my compressor clutch coil was going out. Eventually my ac stopped working all together. I replaced the whole compressor and its been working perfectly for the last 2 months.
