Lurching while accelerating

Hi,

I am trying to understand a problem with my Honda Fit (2004, automatic) to determine if it is worth getting fixed or not.

When accelerating (most often noticed when accelerating up a steep hill) the car will suddenly lurch - it feels like it quickly looses and regains power. I suspect that this is a transmission problem (i.e. perhaps it is trying to shift into a new gear and fails, then re-engages with the original gear). Any insight/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

This sounds like an ignition issue. I suspect your coil packs need replacement. This was the symptom on our 08 Fit and coil pack replacement solved the problem.
