Testing an engine block heater

I installed a 08T44-SJA-200 Engine Block Heater a few years ago and now I think it is not working. I need to test it. Does anyone know how to remove the wire harness from the heater? What part of the connector do I need to push/pull/squeeze? I don't remember what the connector looks like and I can't get my hand down in there to test every possibility.

From pictures it looks like it just pulls out.

You should be able to test it with a multi-meter at the plug end.

I have a brand new one in box I was thinking about installing, just checked and it pulls straight out, it is a very snug fit.
check continuity with a multi meter, the last one I had you could plug it in on a cold motor and feel within minutes that the plug was hot where it screwed into the motor.
if yours isn’t working and want a replacement let me know as I’m not sure I’ll end up installing mine

I tested the resistance of the power cord with a multi-meter and it is open (infinite resistance), so I know there is something wrong. I want to disconnect the wire harness from the heater and test them separately. Accessing/Installing the heater is such a pain because there is no room to work. If you want to sell yours, I may be interested.
