ABS wiring harness plug

Looking bit of advise , I left my 2003 honda jazz 1.4 for a front wheel bearing , i came back to the garage before mech was finished 100% I noticed he was under the bonnet, asked what he was doing under the bonnet and he said he had pulled the wired out of the abs plug and was repairing , when i got home and checked he had removed the plug completely added an extra piece of 2core wire (for more length and stripped and twisted wires together and taped up with electrical tape. ABS is working 100% with no lights on or anything.

Question 1 is this is there a away of refitting proper plug how do i get to the pins to re-crimp / solder the connection.

2. if these proper plugs cannot be reworked is it ok for me to removed extra cabling he put in and more suitable joint rather the attempt he has put into repair it, if i disconnect this will it make light come on etc .

Before anyone asks i do not want to take it back as the garage i have used, it is about 4 hrs drive from me, got it done while i was away with work.

Thanks

Yes all you want is possible. But we need a photo of the butcher job to give the best advice.

I do not know how to put a picture on here , i can get it onto my computer ok just not onto this site.

Anyway if i can give you a better idea, where the harness comes from front passenger side abs sensor to under the bonnet the male plug is now not there and the female plug for abs of the main engine loom is also missing , the guy has joined what looks like a piece of 2 core speaker cable from the engine harness onto the loom which goes down to sensor on hub , the bit of cable he has used is about 8"long . I want to remove this 'extra' bit of cable and join both original cables together again either with the proper plug if you can let me know to remake the plug or with 1 joint and more appropriate connection as he has just twisted individual wires together where female plug was and where the male plug was and put electrical tape around them,

Well the plug connector is not absolutely needed it is there for ease of building the car and repairs.

You could get the type of wire you want and solder and heat shrink both ends or go to the auto store or electronics shop and buy some crimp on ends and heat shrink after crimping so you can still disconnect it if needed.

Good suggestion as I doubt you can buy those connectors separately. The wiring could be molded into them.

Alternative is to just leave it alone as it is working. If it stops them time to repair.

It should be OK to repaired if ignition is off. Even better disconnect the battery to be sure. But if doing this make sure you have you radio code.
