What to do with bad motor after engine swap

I purchased a used ‘07 motor online, had it deliver to a shop and had then swap engines. They called me today and told me it is ready for pickup. But what should I do with the blown engine? What would be an economical way to transport it 6 miles to my house? What things from it can I strip and resell?

The engine went bad after running hot and blowing the head gasket and warping.

Keep the coils and injectors, maybe. I'd scrap the rest!

Will do. There are a few other things as well that I may keep just in case, like the EGR valve and the wire harness.

Oh, good point, I remember when searching for the used engine there were quite a few with damaged timing chain covers and the snapped engine mount bolt that’s by the alternator.

Transport it in your Fit. The whole engine can easily be picked up by two people. I'd put it on a small wooden pallet and strap it down. The recycler/junk yard will want to pick it up with a fork lift
