08 Fit - wont start cause security control module?

First off, my apologies if this has been asked and/or answered before. I have never had any issues with my basic 2008 Fit (auto trans) so I am really at a loss about how to repair this car. A few days ago, my car just up and decided not to start. Battery fine, strong cranking and just the beginning of a catch in the motor but won't run. Couldn't figure it out so had it towed to Carter Honda in Vancouver where I live. Got the car back a couple of days later with the report that they couldn't really understand what had happened but the mechanic had done a "Hard Reset" of the security module, and that it was fine now. Yeah right. One day later, the car strands me at another work location and now it's being towed back to the same Honda shop for another shot at fixing it. The car has no real security system except the hidden chip in the key. No buttons on a key fob like in a real security system, no sirens...nothing.

Just wondering if the Honda dealer can't get this fixed if anyone has a workaround to this problem. I don't mind bypassing any security system as long as it doesn't do something crazy like trigger the airbags or something like that. \
Love the car. So basic and until recently, super reliable.

Thank you for reading and if you have any ideas.

Edward (no i don't live in Hawaii anymore)
