Poor MPG
Poor MPG
Hey guys new to fit freak fourm. I have a 2008 honda fit 1st Gen in blue with 135k miles. Been driving in pheonix AZ with ac on but it's all most always on here in pheonix. Lately I have been getting horrible gas milage. After two tanks of about 22 to 23 mpg I checked tire pressures all were 35 to 40 psi. Changed the air filter (didn't really look dirty) and spark plugs (nothing to really write home about they looked fine not burt or oily) . I was hoping that would fix the issue but ran another tank of fuel out and got the same gas milage. With this newest tank I added a can of sea foam to fuel system and still 23ish mpg. No Check engine light is on. Car seems to run fine no missing or studdering. I highly doubt my driving habits have suddenly changed. I want to go back to getting over 30mpg any idea or something similar like this happen to you guys?
Edit..
Just further exploring this issue on the fourm it seems that the 2nd gens have a mpg Guage or setting and 1st gens don't. I have been getting my MPG from gas receipt and using a calculator. When I say 22 to 23 it just means it was over 22 but under 23 and I didn't put the numbers after the decimal into memory. Still looking for help with this any ideas are greatly appreciated. Also this is tank 6 of fuel since I noticed a big change and started counting.
