Hello, first post here..

A good friend gifted me a 2008 Fit Sport automatic a couple months ago (strangely, just before) when a tree fell on my 95 Civic (R.I.P.). Well maintained with records and just about to hit 100,000 miles so I am doing some things to it. I dig the car but not in love with so many electrical components or the AT (or the rough ride) but it was free in a time of need so what can I say...Anyway-

Yesterday when I started the car the power steering light came on and the wheel & shifter were both locked. Turned the car off and restarted and it didn't happen again. I've found posts on the light and on locked shifters, but not the two happening together. Any ideas what this could be?

 

Maybe I should also state before starting another thread that cruise control and paddle shifters do not work. No lights, nothing. Airbag light is on. Horn works.
