Any Fit friends in Portland? Looking for help leak proofing.
Hi guys, with how many first gens leak, I wanted to check if anyone here is in Portland area and has experience sealing the hatch and doors (drips below my speakers). I've watched some videos but would still greatly appreciate any confidence boost I can get in FIIINNAALLLYY getting this thing rid of moisture.

Hey I'm in NE pdx area! Dm me I'll get you my contact info! I've noticed i've also been having some leaking issues with my rear hatch so I imagine we can problem solve the issue pretty similarly! Post/send me some photos so I can get a jump on brainstorming (:
I have water in the driver's floor, rear right passenger, as well as the trunk. The trunk is well know, and after some googling the issue with the footwells seems to down to the plastic cover under the door card that's supposed to direct any water down the drain holes. Instead it can get unstuck and let water into the cabin. Haven't checked it myself though.
The fit GD has a few points of leaking. I’m from TN(it rains A LOT here). It’s been a saga.
There are threads I’ll try to post when I get time, it should really be a sticky.
One thread shoes using sikawax caulk to fix the seam sealed cracks above the tailgate.
Another shows using aluminum duct tape to cover the holes inside the doors that allow water to drip down. The tar seal on the plastic sheeting eventually fails. It’s a terrible design. I tore out all my moldy carpet.
I sealed my tailgate hinge area and the rear doors and it worked! Now I’m sealing my front doors as they still leak. I hope this helps a little. The Fit is the greatest car I’ve ever owned but dang the leak thing is annoying.

I haven't bothered with the doors.I actually re-sealed the gutter on the roof and haven't seen any water inside so far. I don't know 100% if it's related but it seems possible that the water was leaking in through the rear and then spreading around the interior when driving.
