So we are settling in to our newly acquired second gen Fit. Now my wife's car (2002 Echo) is really showing its age. So of course she is looking at a first gen Fit to replace it. I've seen some issues with water leaking in through the hatch door seal. Anyone here have experience with this?

 

Yep, there are a few big threads about it. If there's water in the spare tire area, the fix is easy. All you need is some clear silicone caulk. Since performing this fix, I've had no issues with water in the rear.
