As many people, myself included, are still buying used GDs, I thought I'd post a reminder to check if the airbag recall's been done on your car. It should have, by now, but considering how serious the issue could be, I'd double check unless you've done it yourself.

I didn't really think about it because the issue came up years years ago was no longer on my mind, but when I checked to see if our area was getting the driveshaft recall, this showed up instead:


Check your local Honda site for this recall lookup tool.

Just had it done yesterday. In retrospect, it's not really surprising, Honda has no way of knowing the current owner (especially since my car was from another country originally) and unless you take it to the dealership for service, it'd probably never be checked.
