Hey All,

Just found out my GE8 is on the Takata airbag recall list as of Monday. Nothing published yet and no plan in place at dealers. The airbags required are on backorder until the summer as well.

Yep, from what I can see on the Honda website, the GD Fit is NOT part of the recall.

 

Yeah, I'm on that list as well. Fun times.. my dad had this on his Corolla and has been waiting a year already to get it replaced.. because theres no replacement yet

 

I'm on the list, just checked; funny thing I received an email from the dealer today telling me my VIN is not part of the recall.. I went ahead and send them the link from the website with my VIN attached and asked them to make me an appointment..

 

what list are you guys on?

mine says this
"Honda is in the process of verifying the particular vehicles within the above model - ranges that are affected by this airbag inflator recall expansion. It is expected that this will be completed over the next few weeks."

 

I haven't gotten anything from my dealership yet, but my VIN is part of the recall.

Taken from Honda Canada:
"Should you have a concern about any wait for an inspection of your vehicle’s airbag inflator or, if needed, for a replacement airbag inflator, we have a customer service procedure that addresses individual customer needs and concerns and encompasses, as appropriate, the provision of or reimbursement for temporary alternative transportation, until your own vehicle’s airbag inflator is inspected and, where required, replaced. For information on the provision of temporary alternative transportation or reimbursement for same, please call the Honda or Acura Airbag Inflator Hotline."
