If OEM pad set is not available, use soft pads ; they will wear 2 times faster but will not crack and/or eat the rotor Use this method when shopping for used pads too! (alcohol can be replaced by water)
Here is the response form Centric support team:"Unfortunately, without being there to thoroughly inspect the pads. We cannot say what caused this issue, as we would just be speculating. Which we do not like to do here at Tech Support.
When you contact the retailer for the warranty procedure, if it is indeed accepted, they will get those pads back and inspect.
Warranty parts will come back to us at Centric/StopTech and be studied by our Quality and Engineering Teams.
The warranty process in place will need to be followed.
Tech Support is not involved in the process."
