Tires on '07 hard to find
Tires on '07 hard to find
I wanted the larger wheel when I bought this car new but the dealer ordered the standard wheel from Japan. So, now these 15" tires are hard to find. Costco doesn't carry them anymore. I can buy a pair on TireRack and pay to have them installed. Anyone else run into this?

195/60/15 would also fit.
There's literally twice the selection of those over the 195/55/15's you mentioned.
If you get all 4 at once, most shops won't mind doing the install.

I only need two. A local place will install just 2 which I might end up doing. The other two are fairly new because Costco couldn't stop a slow leak in one tire. Then, they couldn't get a new Michelin tire because they stopped making them. They ended up giving me two new tires from a different brand at no cost. The other issue (off topic) is the car has so many miles and the rear end suspension is making noise so I'm not sure how long I'll keep it. The tires in front really need to be replaced soon. It won't really improve resale because the car has a salvaged title. I know - TMI!
about two weeks ago at my local store in Sequim, Wa
I'm leaning towards the WeatherPeak by Bridgestone https://www.bridgestonetire.com/tire...eak/185-65R15/
(I put them on my wife's Sienna a few months ago, and we are very happy with them)
they have the mountain snowflake rating (count as "winter tires") and have a 70,000 mile treadware warranty
I'm leaning towards 185/65-15's
MSRP is $183.99ea
Discount tire is $173 https://www.discounttire.com/buy-tir...rpeak/p/114324
here's stock sized ones on Tires.Com for $181

The link to Discount Tire brings up this: P 175 /65 R15. It shows that it fits if I enter the car and wheel size. Used to be I only paid this much for a tire if it was going on a truck! How things have changed. Know anything about this brand?

I think I'm going to go with some Cooper tires. I'm sort of burned out on making calls and looking online. I didn't realize there was a "America's Tire" place near me. Their price is cheaper than online. Thanks for everyone's input.
They are $75 now which is still a great deal. The local tire place will install for maybe $50 or less for 2 tires. The only issue I have is there are defective tires and you can't take them back when you guy online.
Make sure that if you order from Amazon, they are sold by Amazon. Then you at least have a 30 day return window (not sure when they start with the holiday return window that extends until January). I just ordered a pair of Yokohama tires for my '15 from Amazon, had no issues. Like someone else said though, you might be able to find a used tire shop and be able to spend less if money is an issue.
