08 Sport Manual dies completely while braking - then starts up!
Hello all -
I bought a 2008 Honda Fit Sport last October, and starting in November it would sometimes die while I was braking (it's a manual, but it wouldn't stall/shudder - it was as if the key was turned off while driving) - I wouldn't even notice it was off until I went to accelerate again and then realized the car was off - I have been able to coast to the side of the road, and then it always starts right back up. We've brought it to the shop where we bought it multiple times and they've done the following:
- replaced all 4 plugs and ignition coils
- valve adjustment
- cleaned throttle body
- idle learning procedure
- EGR valve is not clogged
Each time they scan the vehicle but don't get any codes.
It doesn't die every single time I'm braking - maybe 2 or 3 times per week.
We have only had the car since last fall, so I'm not sure if it's related to cold weather (since we haven't had it in warmer months yet to compare).
Any ideas for what might be going on?
Thank you!!

BCM or any body/brake related module I'd assume to be throwing a code here. CAN comms error, low voltage error... Something. See if you can get acces to a proper scan tool that checks all modules and go from there. If not then you need a system wide check on grounding/functionality of electronics starting with the braking system.
