Off center.. HELP!

I already posted this under maintenance but I figured I’d post it here as well bc it’s very important for me to get the fit back on the road asap
OP
Hey all, adjusted the valves on my 08 sport this weekend. While taking the valve cover OFF one of the bolts snapped. I went ahead and did the adjustment before attempting to mess with this bolt.
I have screwed through the bolt with the left hand drill bit and am ready to extract it. My issue is my pilot hole isn’t on center. It’s quite a bit right-I started off center then over corrected left then over corrected right, never really getting it centered. Now I’m really close if not on the threads to one side. If I put the extractor in it will definitely dig through the threads. If I’m going to retap it anyway would it hurt to put an oversized bolt in? Or am I f*cked? Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated
I really need the car asap.
Sorry I don’t have any pictures.
