Question P0339 code; how serious?

2006 Jazz (=2007 Fit), 208k km / 129k miles.

Got a check engine light the other day, friend's scanner showed a P0339 code.

No other symptoms whatsoever.

How serious? Get it to a Honda mechanic right away, or let it wait until the check engine light reappears or some other symptoms appear?

Thanks!

(writing from Morocco, where there are no Fits, only Jazzes)

Sounds like just the sensor is bad if there are no symptoms.. I’m just guessing.
my coworker had this code on his truck and drove it for a while.
I would probably replace the sensor asap though

Thank you, FionatheFit. A friend who's mechanically inclined said the same, so I was glad to hear someone here say the same.

JUst loosly,, in general if any EFI sensor goes south, letting it continue to run that way will likely eventually cause cat damage or carbon buildup in intak/exhaust/valves etc..
Wont happen instantly but most of the sensors are not too expensive and you can get the name brands from ROck auto if you cant find them local.
