I just bought a very low mileage 2007 sport Fit
I want to replace the red positive terminal battery cover. Does anyone know the correct part number. I have searched the web and went to the local Honda dealer parts dept. They put in my VIN and tell me it’s not available
32418-TK6-003 is the number the give me but that’s a part for 2009 and newer. The part I need looks like this:
mine is missing or I would look for the original number
thank you in advance for any advice
.....Meaning it is probably discontinued by Honda. If I had to do this, I'd either look adapting one from newer Hondas, ...or other brand, maybe a KIA ....but it would not be difficult adapting an after market fused post. It is only a post with a fuse holder.....strong enough for at least 100 amps.

thanks for the advice, this part is for a collector Fit Sport I just bought 16 K original miles. I want the original part, I’ll find one on eBay eventually.
meanwhile a dealer near me has an 08 base model with 6,400 miles that they want 15,999 for it. I drove it, it’s mint condition and needs to be in the Honda museum. I should have bought one new but didn’t, now I’ve got a tidewater blue one that I’m keeping.
If insisting on original......junk yards with wrecked first gen Fits could also be a source of original parts. There are shops with junk yards in their computer system who would run a check for you.

Find one from the junkyard, maybe even from a different car, then go see that dealer to test-drive the other Fit again. Bring along a friend to distract the sales guy while you're checking it out under the hood, and make the swap. Would be even easier if they let you take the car out by yourself.

I was looking in the spare tire area and noted the tire change tool bag was missing, probably taken at an auction. I was worried they thought I took it. I hope you’re joking. I wouldn’t ever steal or swap a part out. I’d rather do without. But that black 6k mile base model engine bay was just like a new car, every part mint and corrosion free. Mine is close to that good a result of always being garaged and in California its whole life.
