My nomination for ugly axe cars
#1 - Pontiac Aztek. One of the most hideous designs for a car ever. Also poor design for driving. Like a toaster on wheels.
#2 - Honda Insight - epic fail of design, but props for being the first hybrid. Honda will bring back the Insight name for its new hybrid.
#3 - Infinity FX - what IS this car? Is it an SUV? Is it a car? It has squinty head AND taillights and looks like the meanest boss you ever had.
Them's my top 3 - what are yours?

#2. Dodge nitro...WTF is with the big plastic ASSSSS bumper next to the wheels in the front and back...I wants to throw up every time its passed by.
3. Dodge Caliber - Fugly......shit....again...fugly...
by the way..Infinity FX is the fking sexiest beast on the street..PERIOD...

Okay, so Motor Trend gave us a preview of the 2010 "Mini" Crossman....
My gosh, the Clubman is bad enough - don't they understand the principle that just because a design works for a small car, doesn't mean it's going to work when you blow it up????

Hey InternDoc, I agree with your picks! BMW is coming out with a crossover and it's fugly too! I might have to expand my top 3 uglies to top 10! I disagree about the FX, but I know it sells well, so it's JMO.
On the topic of ugly cars, the site of these cars have really let me down lately.
1. The new Mazda Miata- It is ruined, no longer a Miata. It is now a bloated Barbie car on big wheels with "APC" tail lights.
2. The Civic SI "four door"? WTF is this? No! Four doors is NOT an SI.
3 The new Fit. It looks OK but why bigger? Just get a station wagon.
4. The Scion XD. The XB was great and now you have ruined it by conforming to the S.U.V. mentality that has plagued the roads for over a decade now.
Maybe I should lay off the Haterade but I saw an "ugly car" thread and I had to let it out.
On a positive note.
The Honda S2000... Still sexy.

Putting those side-by-side photos up again proves nothing to me. They are 2 different cars to MY eyes, and although the GE8 is a great car by Honda, I still prefer the GD3 and am very happy I got one.
IF I had not found a GD3 in the nick of time before the supply dried up, I would have considered an '09 Fit. But it wouldn't be totally at the top of the list. Mind you, I haven't driven it, there's no need to. Perhaps it is far and away much better than anything else in the class. But I might end up trading off some of the features for another look.

What about the BMW X6? I saw one driving around the other day and wasn't sure what to think about that. Hot rod? SUV? Sedan?!

i don't know about most of you guys, but i think the 09s look tons better than the first gen in my opinion. for the last few years ive seen the first gen Fits all over town, but they never interested me. it has a boring, bland, forgettable design. but the 09s look striking, bold, and futuristic. i love it. they immediately caught my attention and now i'm considering purchasing one.
this just goes to show its all a matter of opinion. one is not really better looking than the other. its just the way your eyes see it
