And yes, Im an 09 hater. Its never going to change. I may post in some threads saying that theirs looks good but the overall car I do NOT like.
Theres probably 2-3 I like. What I really dont like is the RS/Sport kit.
It makes it look like crap. And those Sport wheels that people seem to be so fond of? :-/

oh and when they designed the fit, they didnt just have japan in mind, they had the world market in mind excluding the usa and our stupid safety regulations. thank ralph nader and my x girlfriends dad for that one for writing those dumb laws.

haha i've had mixed feelings about the 09 until i saw the sport model today and i swear it is such an ugly car. there are so many awkward angles and edges everywhere, the GD3 actually has a nice flow to the body and nice curves. the dashboard is ridiculous too. you really need to see this thing in person and sit in it to understand. still the only thing i would take is the gauge cluster and those seats, but even the back seats with those headrests look stupid, reminds me of the yaris. i definitely hate the 09 now.

Looks of a car have never been high on my list when purchasing. I usually consider quality, performance, livability, value, etc. first. However, I can appreciate a good looking car. Here is my list of ugly cars:
1. Pontiac Aztek
2. Any Avalanche (especially the first one)
3. All Cadillac Escalades
4. 2nd gen Malibu Maxx
5. PT Cruiser convertible
6. Mustang II
7. Almost any Pontiac from the 90's (they all looked like they were made for the Power Rangers)
8. Pinto
9. Jeep Compass
David - Dallas
07 tw Fit Sport
91 NX2000
1. Pontiac Aztek
2. Any Avalanche (especially the first one)
3. All Cadillac Escalades
4. 2nd gen Malibu Maxx

Excellent example. I used to be a GM fan and that one made me hang my head in shame.
There's some weird anti 09 bias here. There are literally HUNDREDS of uglier cars than the new fit. People need to grow up. Often car lines get uglier as time goes on. This has been going on forever! One analogy I might point out is that of Hot women who "need a change" and get a hairdo like a poodle. Auto MFRs seem to change for the sake of change regardless of whether or not it's an IMPROVEMENT.

this guy i just met recently bought a black '09 fit and i decided to go out with him simply so i could check this out for REAL. of course i was totally excited about it because it's a fit, but there is just something off about it. i wouldn't go as far as saying it's horribly ugly, but i wouldn't give up my '08 for an '09 no way no how!!! 07s and 08s are just way better. the only thing i do like is the new controls on the steering wheel and the new driver's side dashboard because it has all those extras that the 07 and 08 don't have. the JDM fit looks way better than the USDM fit that's something i will agree with.

Look, I know it's politically incorrect, but I saw my first '09 today. I had a rear view of this white vehicle that said "Fit" on the back. My first thought was that it was a non-Sport (without the spoiler), but when I drove closer, it indeed had a spoiler. It had black rain gutters running down the roof, and wondered whether I had missed that same feature on my Fit. I drove around it. When I saw that "hook nose" from the side I knew what it was.
I have to break the ice here. You guys know what I mean. That is one ugly a$$ vehicle. In fact, I might even trade mine in for a Mazda 3 now.
Honda got a little too much into engineering, and forgot about aesthetics.

The Cars Are Designed For GAS MILEAGE Not Aesthetics
If they were trying to make the car look good it wouldn't even resemble a Fit. The damn car is a box for Gods Sake. What can one possibly expect? If you notice ANY car with grear gas mileage they all have one thing in common, a long, sloped front end to cut resistance.

I guess BMW did the same thing though.....

Well I feel that his will be the end of this forum like so many of the civic forums. Are they different yes, You like yours they like there's. But this site is turning into a nonstop 1st gen vs 2nd gen hatefest. Everytime i come on its just thread after thread of "the new fit sucks".
Will there be some nice GE8s in time sure, are there alot of great GD3s absolutely. This was a great site when i joined and I still try to enjoy it, but it is getting really hard.
