So who HASN'T finished their GD 01-08 mods yet?
#23
I also have a lot of plans for my GD1 but it all depends on time and the budget. Since early June I own the car and it's far from being completed. Lots of new ideas every day.
Possible mods:
- TEIN coilovers
- Spoon strut bar
- Black OEM Headlights
- JDM Taillights
- Spoon CF bonnet
- BRIDE seats
- Buddy Club P1 17" white rims

yah, mine will never be done either. i like the car for wat it is so im not
in a rush to do more mods, but i know i will most-likely swap out the
suspension once or twice more to try other setups, do the stereo and
speakers as usual, and more wheels/tires.

I've had the car almost a year now, and I have a ways to go. I've slowed down because of the weather here in Arizona (it's been consistently 100-110 this summer), and my spending has gone down due to the instability of the economy (frankly, it's scary as **** right now, and blowing money on the car would be ill-advised until things stabilize).
I do, however, have a stockpile of parts at home... wheels/lugs, c-pillar bar, emblems, headers, torque damper, CF parts, JDM OEM pieces, etc.

finished modding? didnt know anybody was really ever finished ;P
so far i haven't done much. only posting performance mods...
fidanza lightened flywheel
skunk2 short shifter
mods coming up:
eibach sportlines(waiting to be installed, should be done next week).
exhaust(cat delete, custom midpipe, megan axel back), should have that done in a couple weeks.
hks turbo- probably a few months, possibly several depending on how things go.
and several other things...and who knows what will come out haha. it will be a very long time before i even think about being "finished" modding the fit. i will take a break from modding it in a year or 2 to focus on another car. but i will go back to modding the fit eventually.

Mine is slowly coming together. I don't buy cheap mass produced parts, so it cost/takes a little longer.
I still got suspension, swaybar, and other small toys sitting in my basement for over 5 months waiting to go on it.

haha dank.. i look forward to seeing it
right now i really want to get a set of springs but i'm going to see how the winter goes first. my car is looking pretty good right now but springs and rims would set it off..
aside from that i want to get that fiberglass piece that goes on the hatch, i like how that looks.
hmm, intake, some other suspension stuff, interior accents and trim, DVD Navi with a sound system.. i'm sure i will think of more though
so.. i have quite a ways to go yet, i got the car back in june, my list of mods are in my sig and that pic is old
yo dank help me install the springs?

Have had my Fit since the beginning of July. All I've done is the center console/armrest. I still have the following:
All season floormats
Tint
LED Backlights
side door applicator as well as the rear
JDM roof console
colored interior
under dash lighting
cargo basket
Probably more that I can't think of at this time.

My car is far from being were I desire it to be but I'm okay with that because it's great as it sits. But here's my list:
What's done:
5% tint around back
OEM Exhaust tip
JDM door sills
all-weather mats
K&N Drop-in filter
T1R Short Shift
Have Planned:
Light weight rims (wanted 16" Kosei K1 but they are not made in that size anymore)
T1R Response Header
T1R 50S Exhaust B-pipe
T1R 50S Ver. 2.0 Sport muffler
Still Dreaming about:
Eibach Sportline springs
T1R crankshaft pulley
Tinting the fronts
Performance clutch

mods:
tire wear.
butt-imprints on seats.
new-car smell delete.
as far as the future goes, i'm between how far i'd like to take it. i love my fit, but its not my dream car, or even my ideal daily driver.
ideally, i'd have a gti as a dd, and then build up a nice little ef or ek hatch.
but with gas the way it is, and the inevitable having to trade in and still be stuck with a car payment for 5 years, i think i'll keep the fit as a dd(unless i have a true change of heart) and then build my hatch when i got the funds saved.
but the list for the fit is as follows
REALISTICALLY:
16 wheels (oem honda, buddly club sf challenge, rota slips, or some 5zigens)
mugen or slim visors
armrest
tint.
Do-able:
tein basic or enduratech coilovers
mugen tower bar
fujitsubo or hpf exhaust
seibon or spoon spoiler (re-painted)
daydreambeliver:
kwsc a/t kit
mugen headers,spoon b pipe
rear disc conversion
dvd nav system
total paint job (either pheonix yellow pearl or championship white/any other honda/acura white pearl type paint)
bbs rgf's.
tire wear.
butt-imprints on seats.

[quote=Edison Carasio;438481]So who out there is still in the process of modding their Fit?
Like most of us, never will be finished til I sell it.
My latest is an unintended but potentially valuable mod.
While getting ready to track the Fit again we happened to find a velocity stack that just fits on the intake to the air filter box. Have no idea if its worthwhile but it looks so cool we just had to do it. We will find out at VIR cause we have a baseline to compare.
Anyone else interested? We can put together a kit with rubber connector sleeve and polished aluminum velocity stack for $49.00 plus shipping. If anyones interested we will post a photo. Thereoretically a velocity stack improves air flow by 5%. Thats not a hp gain but anything that really improves air flow is advantageous. If you've ever seen Hilborn fuel injectors with those bell shaped tubes leading to the carbs, racing motorcycles, or full race sports cars ditto you've seen velocity stacks.
cheers.

Since I've only had my car a month, I'm just getting started!! I want white rims, footwell lighting, sill covers all around, and who knows what else...I'd love to lower it but I don't want to scratch up the front end going over speed bumps...
