Help!

Okay so i bought the T1R Test Pipe and installed with the 02 dummy about 6 months ago. Today, i noticed my check engine light was on. Luckily i had a scan tool handy and well it was showing that my second 02 sensor was reading too much exhaust gases. So I'm not sure what to do. I haven't gone under to check it out yet but anyone run in to this??? i thought the dummy was supposed to keep the cel from during on.

An O2 simulator does not always work 100% sometimes weird occurances happen such as yours. I'd say pull it off and clean it out? It's possible it's getting skewed readings from carbon build up.

Just me $.02 cents.

Nick.

mine did this too. i drove with my o2 fix for about 500 miles and during a wot pull the cel was thrown. i just pulled off the side of the road and unplugged the battery for 2 or 3 minutes and the cel left and never came back.

also, another problem you could have is if you welded the o2 bung at the wrong angle. condensation can screw up an o2 sensor really quickly if the bung is angled too low.

I had a 95 stock (as far as I know) civic where the CEL would come on sometimes. It would turn back off once the car sat off for a few. I figured it just didn't mean to come on in the first place.
