O2 simiulator

The MIL or CEL is on due to code P0420 (Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold) due to T1R Testpipe. Will this cause the car to run in limp mode or would it be OK to just ignore it?

did you weld up the O2 fix on it? it shouldnt run in limp mode. sensor malfunction isnt detrimental to your engine.

O2 simulator removed because it was not good for the engine management. As a consequence, the CEL is now ON.

Why do you say that? To the best of my understanding the secondary O2 does nothing to affect the way your ECU runs the car. It is just a Emission tool that tells you when your Catalytic converter needs replacing.

When installing a test pipe the secondary O2 See's a lot more heat then it is used to as the cat doesn't exist any more, to O2 fix pulls the O2 out of the stream hence tricking the ECU into believe that their is some type of cat on the car. I would put the O2 fix back in if I where you.

Thank you for clearing things up for me. I guesss I will just ignore the light for now since the secondary o2 sensor doesn't affect the fuel computer. I'll get the code cleared soon.

put the O2 fix back. you will burn out your secondary O2 sensor. its not made to deal with that type of direct heat.

The secondary O2 sensor is exactly the same as the primary one...

Also, a test pipe will run colder than a catalytic converter will. Basically, all you're looking at with that CEL is an annoying amber light on your dash and a permanent emissions failure. Go put the fix back on when you can, and all will be well.

I also know people who have used he fouled plug way and had some success. I used it on my 99 Accord when the second cat died. I also had a thought that is you got a hold of an old cat and cut out some of the media to fit inside the O2 extender, it might further help with not getting a CEL.

X2....

Pretty sure my CEL eliminator costs close to 100$.... it's the T1R one so it probably cost me my first born child. Came with the kit, though, so I guess I won't complain. My secondary O2 sensor is BLINGIN!
