that sucks. reminds me of the 94 civic ex coupe i had long time ago.
it was a parking lot accident magnet. almost every month it would get
hit by something in parking lots.

Wow! I'm sorry to hear all of the damages your Fits get from just parking. Makes me feel lucky that my Fit has no random scratches and dings yet. The reason is that I park in the "Handicapped" parking whenever possible. But I hear what you guys are saying. Sometimes, I have to park in narrow-a$$ parking spaces too! There's huge potential for your car to be bashed then!

WILCO

I have yet to swing by the body shop. I drive for a living so my time at home is limited, and much of what I do have is mostly spent sleeping. I need to go take a look at where the dent is, as I don't want the molding to be too high up on the car.

Idle question: trant? You -do- have the appropriate sticker/plate to park in those spaces (ie: a need to), yes?

Yeah, of course. I wouldn't want to break the law or get a ticket. I have the placard, registered to me. I was about to get the actual license plates, but I didn't want to be labeled as "some handicapped guy" while driving.

My worst nightmare. I park in the garage at home and way the hell out in front at work. Even then, the jackasses that mow scuffed the bumper last week. I was able to get that out with some Scratch-X but now when they mow, I move it.

Parking lots are another thing. the Fit is narrow and fits nicely in most spaces with plenty of room on each side. It seems like an invitation for careless people in their giant SUVS and "Dually" pickups to park over the line

Sometimes taking two spots only makes the haters more hell-bent on doing the deed.

It's bad enough when you cause the damage yourself, but to have somebody else do it AND LEAVE is not only unconscienable, it's cause for bodily harm if I were to catch the bastard.

that sucks. i was at the grocery store a few days ago and a lady in a jeep was backing out of a spot, she hit the car next to her and stopped. thought about it for a moment and continued backing out instead of pulling forward to prevent further scratching the car. she then started to leave, i think the only reason she stopped and put on a note on the car is because of the several people watching her do it. people are idiots.

thanks for the support guys! Thanks for sharing the stories to show that I'm not alone. I feel a bit better but I'm still bitter lol. People are jackasses and idiots and won't man up to their actions. Let them burnnn.
