Good winter tires /rims to get for Fit (Canada)
#2
Im using the factory alloys with a set of Michelin X-ice tires. This winter tire comes in a 195/55/15 size. I have no complaints with these tires. The rims have held up very well during last winter. Im sure they will start to get pitted and such after a few years. I plan to get them refinished by that time anyways.

I have the Kumho KW 19. Size 175/65R14. I have a sport however down sized my tires for winter and also went with the steel rims. Dealer had a special on for $629.00 mount, balanced, installed and taxes. That also came with 4 tire totes. Tires came in very handy this morning with the freezing rain. Managed last year on the All seasons. Some pretty scary days driving. I drove the dodge on bad days.

I run Nokian Hakkapeliitta RSi tires on my Accord and Yokohama Ice Guards on my '09 Fit. Both are good. The Nokians are generally regarded as one of the best winter tires made, but the RSis were replaced by the R tire this year, which is supposedly better.

I'm running 185/70-14 Kumho KW-11's on my '09 Fit Sport and Hankook W300 Icebears on my '05 Acura. We just put a new set of Hankook W409 IPikes on my brother's '08 Civic and they're awesome too!
Gotta run snow tires, it's the only way to go!

I've got Kumhos as well for the second winter. They are great.

I got a Tire Rack package with some nice looking wheels and Pirelli Winter Carving studded tires in OEM size. They handle everything Interior Alaska has thrown at me in my second winter now, and I would buy them again. We get glare ice at times and I just wanted the extra assurance of studs. The mounting and balancing was impeccable.
