2008 Fit Sport

Sup Guys, im new to the site and am not a fit owner as of yet.. im still debating whether i should pick one up or not. The only 08 left locally is a 2008 BBP Fit Sport 5spd. I would get an 09 which are in every dealer around here that sells them but i just like the look of the 08 so much more. I am having the issue of getting rid of my EK hatch and picking one of these up. I love my ek dearly and its kinda hard thinking about letting her go to someone else.

What are the pros and cons of owning a fit. This may help me with my tough decision.. Thanks in advance

Here is my list of pros and cons:

Pros:
Magic Seats
Gas mileage
Style (2008)
Smooth - Short Throw - Manual Trans.
Sports Car like Handling
Comfortable
Honda reliability

Cons:
Lack of power
Sport Body Kit low to ground (easy to scrape front)

Overall - I am really happy with my Fit. IMO you can't go wrong with Honda.

Good luck with your decision!

go out and test drive a versa first; a yaris second, then a fit. you'll have made your decision then .

Get the Fit. I had an EK ('99) which I liked...but the Fit is a better car all around.

Well...the fit is amazing. As my sig says...prolly the most versatile and fun car to drive/own.
But I'ma just throw this out there...if you'd be looking for an 08' I'm trying to get mine off my hands and get something I don't have to be paying off during school. trade for the ek or sell... pm me if you wanna.

i much rather have a white or black one but there arent any local that the honda dealership down here could find. just a lot of 09's..

the biggest issue for me right now is debating if i want to pick up car payments and a bigger insurance not.. im paying $50 a month liability for the ek. Also the lack of power the car has

I love that the fit can basically swallow anything you put inside. While it's not a fast car, I don't think its too underpowered.

If you are still kinda debating 08 or 09 read this
It is a little old, but does have facts on both
and may help your decision on to even get a fit at all.
but you should get one. I want one.

Very simple car. What you would expect from Honda.

Big pro's include: gas mileage, room in the entire cabin,
and that corner coming out of your neighborhood has never been so...fun .

well i took the leap and picked on up today. after about 3-4 hours of sitting at the dealer waiting on paper work and what not i was able to bring it home with me. ill post up a few pics tomorrow whenever i get around to it. first up... its time to order my some skunk2 pro c coilovers, tint the windows, and put some diff wheels on it.. the dealership added some 17" enkeis. they dont look too bad but i prefer a 15-16.. the lower i can go the better

nice buy. the skunk coils are badass!!! that is one mod you wont regret. now save your bills and buy the t1r turbo to address the power issues and you wont ever miss your ek.

haha thats a nice idear.. but i have no interest in modding the engine at the moment.. just want to take it nice and slow for a bit. Just make it visually pleasing to my needs. Tomorrow im gonna swap the HID kit from my EK over to the Fit and when the EK sells within the next few days ill have new wheels + coils ordered and shipped ready to be installed as soon as they arive. Limo tinting the car tomorrow. So ill post a few pics as of right now, just do some before and after pics

i was skeptical about getting my fit, but now that i have it i love it. its a very great car other than the lack of power. but thats no biggy, the gas mileage makes up for that. im going to post pictures once all my goodies come in which should all be in within this week. so by this weekend ill actually have a build thread kickin. until then everyone including myself has to wait
