OK everyone always says....

Is your car one of those Aveo? Yeah, right - that always gets me going because I know the Fit is a much better car than an Aveo. Our local car club had these posted today highlighting the 2009 Aveo. Thought you guys and gal would like to see the pictures. It still looks like an Aveo no matter how much they work it over:

before the refresh, the fit kinda looked like the aveo, especially from the back and in base trim.

the interior was still superior though, and with the introduction of the 09 fit, they look less alike.

Yeah, people can be dumb, especially those who don't know about imports and only follow the American cars. My cousin once compared the Fit to the Suzuki Aerio:

the aerio kinda looks like the fit too to be honest with you.

sol you really think the aveo is that tiny? my sister has an older one, a sedan, and it makes my fit look tiny. it has almost as much head room as the fit.

but 20k for an aveo is a joke, even with leather and a sunroof. i'd rather have a nice civic lx-s, decked out 2 door rabbit or a mazda 3 hatch.

thats what didnt make sense, for 20k you can upgrade to a Civic or even Accord on the Honda lineup... no one is gonna be impressed with your leather interior when you're driving an Aveo...

i mean i guess its nice to have, but like you said, most would be impressed with a nice civic over an aveo with leather, unless you are really just pro-domestic.

i actually almost traded my fit in for a white lx-s. (only white civic with a black interior that isn't an si.) it was really nice. the only thing i didn't like was the rear drum brakes. and the fact that the wheels were carry-over 06-07 ex wheels. but still alloys at least.

No one ever knows what my car is. But they dont ask and throw random names out.
Aveos are pieces of crap.

Aerios are almost identical to the Fit. They arent too bad either. With the 2.3L (I think?) and 5speed theyre fast as hell, believe it or not.
I did an oil change on one a while back when I worked at Dodge/Jeep.

Took it on a drive. WOW! Spun all 1st and 2nd. Plenty of torque for such a tiny car.

It's because it's a Suzuki. The only Japanese bike manufacturers that also make cars: Honda, and Suzuki.

my favorite question "is that a hybrid?" ha ha ha i have got the aveo question before and i just said "yes it is. i put the honda insignia on the back so i look like a fit."
this really confuses them cause for the most part everyone one who loves american cars dont know about imports.

This is why I hate to leave my cars with anyone for service.
