man this is great. i just got my sidemarkers in the mail. cant wait to install them. all i have to do is wait for the wiring diagram and it will all be done. hope i dont f up n e thing.

 

use a cardboard layout first and make sure you dont cut too much

The Honda Fit uses the OEM Honda EP3/DC5 Sidemarkers which come in either Amber or Clear. The lower end models like the 1.3A and 1.5A in Japan came with the Clear Sidemarkers, where as some models in Europe came with the Amber Sidemarkers. I personally purchased the Clear OEM Honda EP3/DC5 Sidemarkers from Matt at ICB Motorsport:

JDM Integra DC5/EP3 Type R CLEAR Side Markers ( w/ Wiring)

As then you have all the proper sockets, wiring, and connections from the sidemarker, and you only have to splice and extend the wiring to splice into the signal wiring harness.

You can also purchase the Amber OEM Honda EP3/DC5 Sidemarkers with the wiring harness from ICB Motorsport as well:

Page 1 contains all the necessary information on where the sidemarker is to be placed upon the fender, and Page 3 contains a post which gives you the ability to download a printable to scale PDF file for the sidemarker hole. However, it should be noted that the PDF file is for the Honda Integra / Acura RSX and the body lines are to be ignored.

 

thanks jay but now im just waiting for one of the fit members to send me the wiring diagram so i can have it stay on and when i signal it will flash. its taking him a while but u know i just have to be patient.

 

omg... cutting into the body?!?!? -SCREAMS- i would be scared to do that, cuz once u mess it up... mm-mm no re-dos lol well you can but its not cheap, but for side markers, i think clear sidemarkers with 8500k LEDs is a good motivation

 

yes i finally got the wiring diagram. thank you so much lunar_gd3. now all i have to do is wait for the relay to come in and put everything in.

yeah side mirrors are cool but i like mines and side markers will be really nice.

sorry for the wait but its going to have to wait a little longer. waiting for the relays to come in and i need to know where the other side of the wire for the side marker goes. once everything is in ill take some pics and post them up.

 

dam got the diagram and the relay but only one was ordered now have to do a rush order it was my fault sorry again

i bought the JDM clear ones from ICB but it was just the lens no bulbs no wires nothing if ne1 has installed them help me out

 

contact dan aka gimme. he is very skilled in installing these and has installed the sidemarkers for many of us in southern california. he should be able to help you with what type of wires and bulbs you need

 

super easy. just use a dremel.

cut a small square and file out. or if you think you can do it without messing up. cut a measured area out and just slide the sidemarkers in.

i used speaker wire.
