you can buy the kit from Bernardiparts.com for $237.51 Honda Foglight (Fit) - Bernardi Honda Parts and Accessories if you want Honda original foglights. Otherwise, there's a slew of knockoff brand "OEM replacement" fogs on ebay.

Installation requires cutting holes in the front bumper to accomodate the housings. Smeister has a blogspot with some great DIY's including the foglight install. http://smeister13.blogspot.com/2008/...lights-on.html

Not meaning to hi-jack the thread, but... I'm curious about the aftermarket fogs for the fit. I know that somoene must have installed them and wonder about the wiring. Does it plug in the same way that the OEM fogs do, or must one cut and splice? None of the pictures I've seen on eBay and other places show the ends of the wiring well enough to tell.

The Ebay/Zeta kits have known issues with fitment at the switch, and is definately not a plug-and-play install like the OEM kits, and do not come with a template to cut the bumper. Refer to the following discussions for details:

Link1
Link2

The OEM Honda fog light KIT will come complete with dash mounted switch to replace the blank switch, all wiring, fog lights, bulbs, unpainted black bezel (which many sport owners are trying to emulate), and all needed wiring. The car is pre-wired for the fogs, so no need to run wires through the firewall. Just find the exisiting harness and it's all plug and play after cutting the front bumper with the provided template.

I actually have a Genuine Honda Fog light kit for sale if you're interested. Brand new, never installed. I bought it thinking I was going to do a full Sport conversion, but I ended up selling the sport body kit. So the fogs are now for sale.

PM me if you're interested.

I wonder how difficult it is to cut the holes out. I wanna get a set of OEM fogs, but don't wanna cut my own bumper OR pay someone to do it. Decisions decisions.

i didnt have an air saw to do it but i had a dremmel tool. it worked really well. i just removed the bumper to make it easier. the kit comes with templates for the holes your cutting. also the bezels on the fogs are bigger than the holes you are cutting. so if your lines arent that straight you dont see it. i just finished mine 2 hours ago. took about 2 hours to do it.

Lots of old threads and success stories on this. I did it on my base fit without any problems. I just used a keyhole saw to cut the bumper. It's pretty soft plastic. The electrical fit is the big reason to pay more for the OEM kit. The aftermarket kits can be made to fit but you'll do a lot of custom wiring.

If I cracked a fog light, I'd get an aftermarket kit just for the replacement lens or housing. An aftermarket kit can be had for less than what honda charges for a single housing/lens assembly.

With the OEM kit, you only get fogs with low beams. There are other threads for rewiring to get 'independent fogs' if you want them. Check regs for your state as some states have specific restrictions on the operation of fog lights.

I got my oem kit for 245.00 plus tax. brand new from honda. so the aftermarket kits arent that much diff for better quality.

Bernardi sells OEM at a very good price. Aftermarket goes for $80 (see zetaproducts website or ebay) for the whole kit. No price comparison, huge fitment difference.

Like Rob said, Bernardi is a Honda dealership. I've done business with them and they had the lowest prices on what I bought. Shortly after I got my MR Base, I got the alarm, keyless entry, and rear bumper applique(*) for $215 shipped. Much better than my local dealership, who wanted $500 for the alarm and keyless entry.

Cost + 10% ?? Idle curiousity, but what does that come out to before tax?

I've run across one person on eBay selling the OEM fog lights for less, but they only have them every once in a while, and they don't list them in auctions; only BIN.

(*) They're still pricing that puppy at only $25. I'm tempted to get another one, 'just in case'.

As it happens, I went back to eBay and found that the Honda Mall of Georgia (eBay user 'Hondazone') has the fogs for $230.99 shipped. Here's the listing.

I bought my steering wheel cover from them and will probably get their 'all in one' interior trim package one of these days (visor trim, door switch trim and shift knob for $170 shipped). First, though, I'm getting the wide body side moldings from Zeta.

Just a reminder for anyone looking to buy, I have a set for sale. Cheaper than Bernardi.

Quick question my gF's fit was in a front end collision but the oem fog light harness good and connected. I could just buy the aftermarket oem reps from ebay and use the fog lights with the stock harness correct?

Apparently so. As long as they take the same type of bulb, the OEM harness should just plug in.
