OEM Fog Lights on a Base?

On a GE8 Is this possible? Has anyone done this? Wondering if this is possible. Kinda like 92-95 civics did. On those civics the holes are in the bumper, and just need to be cut out and installed. Looking at the base fit bumper as compared to the sport it appears to have the same area for Fogs.

Can this be done? That is my question.

edit: I came into this thread thinking you wanted the Sport Fog in the Base bumper... now that would've been interesting!

I just installed the garnishes for the look. Didn't really want the fogs and these were only $10 ea. I just put some mesh screen behind them like I used for the grill. Need to get some better pics of them. Thinking about painting the lower grill black now.

Emblesh on this statement I bolded please. Are there two different versions of fogs for the GE?

I have a GD, and this is for a buddy of mines GE. He wants fogs, but does not want to switch to a Sport bumper to do it. His plans are to go lower, and he loves the base looking body. This must be possible due to the responses in this thread.

So I ask again. Is there two different sets of fogs for the GE Fits?

Fogs themselves are likely the same... just the mounting bracket & garnish that is different.... then again, that's what makes the difference between them.

That's a good idea for brake ducting if someone was so inclined to do such a thing to their car.

Here you go:

08V31-TK6-1M050 GARNISH, R. FOGLIGHT

08V31-TK6-1M051 GARNISH, L. FOGLIGHT

You will have to make some brackets to hold them. I also got some stainless screws at the hardware store. (8 per garnish).

Car in question:
That is one badass looking base Fit!

Be careful drilling the holes and cutting. Hopefully they send templates with the kit. Going by the marks inside the bumper is a little dicey. Make sure you have some good drill bits and a hole saw.

Here are a couple more pix of my foglight garnishes. I'm really thinking I should paint that lower grill black now. Anybody think I should leave it silver?
