Hi folks! I'm new to the forum, and new to my 2007 Honda Fit Sport MT! I'm relieved to have found this forum because hopefully some of you all can answer my question! Not having a "map light" in the car is driving me crazy. I am not too electrically savvy, but am willing to take it somewhere to get it installed. But I'd like to at least see what's out there for DIY.

So, who has installed their own map light? What did you use? How did you do it? I saw that there was an old posting about this in the Fit Lighting area, but it is from 2006. I was hoping to find some newer information and/or experiences.

i depend on the dome light, and using LED for that, is a miracle hehe. i recomend a 6000k or higher light ("K" is the color, not brightness) i have 2 led fentoon (or something by that name) and it does a decent job, there are better ones, like led ciruit boards, which have like 16 leds? VERY worth it, ive seen it myself ;] if i recall correctly, i have a 7000k, has some blue in it, if you plan on buying dome lights, i recomend this site

Check ebay for a used map light that's similar. These are the same map lights that were in my 2001 civic coupe.

yah, my 08 has a maplight and it's very useful.

 

my 08 did not come with maplight but i would have no use for it anyways... i have my dome
