Questions about Fit Mod's

I just bought a used 07 Sport. It has been modified quite a bit, but I'm not sure if it has a lower final drive ratio. My question is: What RPM does a stock fit run at 65 mph?

Thanks,

Fred

Questions about Fit mod's

It's a manual. At 3500 rpm in 5th gear I'm running about 72mph

That sounds about right. I can generally live it in Cruis control right @ 70ish and be at 3500

Yep, that's about right. I was shocked when I realized that cruising at 80 MPH results in 4K RPM.

I wonder how hard it would be to swap in the 1.8 from the Versa with it's 6 speed?

With an automatic, 4000 rpm yields 104 mph in 5th, according to the GPS receiver. The speedometer said I was going faster than that.

I wish mine was geared like that. Lately I've started to appreciate the gearing while attacking canyon roads, though.
