In other countries, their DMV checks over the whole car for a BIG inspection. They look for problems with drivetrain, suspension, etc. Car mods are seen as problems to them since the car is not stock anymore.

Also ive heard that even if you have a small frey in your seatbelt, theyll make you replace the whole assembly. These inspections are all government mandated btw.
