quick question

quick question

hi i just recently purchased a black jazz VTI-S, but one wierd thing is that on the plate in the engine it says its a GD1? even the vin no. begins with a GD1 but the engine no. it states that it is a L15A? whats the deal with this? can anyone help me?

GD1 is the model designation of the car. My 2008 Fit is a GD3 and the 2009 Fits are GE8.

L15A is the model designation of the engine.
