Intakes for the DS-I engine, hmm...

Hi guys!
I've been on this forum for ages, however ive never got the chance to get a post on it and here it is . Anyways I wonder if all you people out there can help me out cos of all your tuning knowledge! respect bruv ! I own a 2006 model Honda Jazz (GD1) and its on the L13A DS-I engine. I recently have found some nice induction kits, but i dont know if it will fit plus i want some opinions or maybe some feedback from you . My options are the Blitz Sonic Power Induction kit and the ARC new Super Induction Box. I know for a fact that the Blitz fits, however the ARC states that it is for the GD3? Won't this be okay for my engine becuase it has the same dimensions as the JDM model? Correct me if im wrong but are the North America Fit's different to the JDM Fit's - (thats the GD3 L15A VTEC models) in terms of engine positions. I remember someone stated on a post that japanese L15a VTEC engines are slightly different to North Amerca as the battery has to be relocated sumwhat?
Here are the links to the both kits;-
Blitz Sonic Power - Blitz UK: Products > Air Filters > Sonic Power > 58118
ARC New Super Induction Box - Intake: ARC New Super Induction Box @ Honda Tuning Heaven - VTEC Direct Ltd! -
So what do you guys think? I really do fancy getting this ARC kit, but i do not know if it is suitable for my GD1, surely its for the GD3 engines for some reason?
Many thanks in advance....

GD3 is also the designation of the "rest of the world" Jazz/Fit not just the USDM one. The external demensions of the L15-a and the L-13a are the same including the location and size of the TB except for the USDM model.

So if your kit is sold in the UK it will physically FIT as it were.

The reason the GD1 is not listed is that it runs very lean in stock trim (running very lean is part of the ISDI system) so adding a more free flowing intake system MAY push it into a OVER lean state.

That being said other international members have installed air intake systems on their ISDI vehicles without reporting any major problems.

Your choice but the very safest cource of action would be to install the kit then get your A/F ratio checked just to be sure it's not over lean.

Most of these go on easy peeze but some you may have to loosen the clamp and wiggle the battery around for more clearance. Just listen carefully for pinging (knocking?) your first few trips if it doesn't ping you should be good to go.
