eating away at me

okay, not that i'd ever rock it, but why is the HFP Muffler only available for a manual trans.

i srsly can't understand why it wouldn't work on an auto tranny, i mean its just a muffler, right?

inb4exhaust section.

Search the exhaust section.

It's only Honda that says it should be used with MT. There's no reason you can't with the AT.

It does work for the AT's also. They bolt up perfectly, there is no difference. I don't know why honda would write it only fits the manuals.

from what i've seen it says because of the noise, but this can't be the reason.
i refuse to believe that a muffler made by the OEM would break the decible limit.

yes it is because of the noise. not because of the decibils, but because itll be drony and sound annoying.

the hfp exhaust will work. Honda just says it's for MT only because auto's tend to drone at those lower rpms.

That's pretty much every honda aftermarket exhaust. Never understood why any enthusiast would put one of those cans on a honda unless it was forced induction (and you actually needed it) or a serious N/A build.
