the jazz rumbles?

hey guys.
lately my car rumbles a bit during acceleration. as soon as i hit the pedals the jazz would most of the time rumble for a bit and then runs smoothly after it. would u guys have any idea what my problem is?

thanks

hummm... could be many things, but i would first try different gas, then check the intake tract and then exhaust.

do you get any check engine light? if so, scan it and see what
is triggering the dtc.

this may seem silly or insulting, but i have to ask, sorry.

do you drive a manual transmission? if you do, maybe you're in too high a gear to accelerate from your current speed and you should downshift to a lower gear before you try to accelerate? i'm wondering if when you say it runs smoothly after you initially hit the gas, the car is already up to a higher speed and your engine is running at a more powerful rpm. if you already know this, my bad.

somewat related to docdoom's post, my FitS's clutch shudders on cold/damp starts. the last car that had shudder was a pos subaru...and wrx's were infamous for their pos trans.

no issues on my MINI or G35C clutch which are both now pretty old
(original owner).

Sounds like tires, bearings or C.V.joints. Since it is during acceleration, my first guess is the C.V. joints.

Jack the thing up and crawl under it. Grab hold of the drive axle, push, pull, and twist it, kind of like wanking on it. If there is any play or looseness at either end where it connects to the CV joints, they will need replacing. Repeat on the other axle. The outer joints are almost always the first to wear out. Get a manual and some tools and get after it, and save some money. It really isn't a difficult task at all. Good Luck on it.
