what is best cold air intake in a budget?

I had for almost a week now and i'm thinking of getting rid of stock intake. I was leaning towards AEM short ram intake but i don't want to really go over $300 dollars. Is there good alternative beside's this? one of my coworker said i should stay away from K&N.

No personal experience with it, but the A Spec CAI looks pretty good . . . check their sub-forum here, good price & free shipping.

go chamber. T1R or Last Station Intake.
they're about the same price and have better throttle response.

i have the hps one, i got it when the CAI was 100 bux, now its more expensive maybe 150 but still well worth the money, i cut up the tubing and made it a longer short ram intake, but when i had it a CAI it worked very well, i welded up the extra tubing and made it kinda like the aspec one, id suggest either one for a nice CAI.
