color on red

hey guys,

i know the red color on the first gen fit are called milano red...i think that's the same as the last gen prelude on their reds...

my question is, how are the red color on the fits? do they fade easily...how about the black? cuz i know the black and red on the last gen (5th gen) preludes were very prone to fading.

I think it has to do with how you take care of it (for the most part) and your normal weather conditions

^^ +1, where it's used (amount of UV exposure) and how well it was cared for will determine how fast the colors fade.

i had an obsidian black car a while back for about 4yrs. it was as black and full of depth as a new car.

The paint on my MR fit is holding up nicely. I regularly wash and wax my vehicles.

Unless you can manage to keep your car in the shade constantly, I think you will experience some level of fading. However, you should be able to reduce the rate at which the paint fades with good exterior maintenance.

isnt there a wax or additive that has uv protection? get the color you want and just "use sunscreen"

I just got rid of a silver 96 honda that was horrible on paint. it was left in the sun in a car lot for atleast 2 yrs. paint was ruined. on the other hand. I find older couples keep their cars covered and the paint is immaculate. Im gonna do a check on car waxes to see what is good chit and which is just snake oil...Good idea bro. now you got me thinkin!
