If you go K20, you definitely don't want 50mm piping, it just is not up to the task. 70mm or go home. Seriously, the K flows so well that even 60mm while it will work it still doesn't allow the motor to reach full potential.

I am still shocked they only offer 50mm piping and charge what they do for it for the full setup, which I probably will end up with unless I can talk Tanabe-San at Amuse into a one-off. My 70RS dual on the Snisen cost about the same price as the full Fit exhaust setup.

My Amuse exhaust lit up one night like Magnesium when lit. I was playing around with a R34 GT-R and at about 200km/h at the top of 5th all of a sudden I saw the sun in my rearview mirror and didn't know what happened. Pulled to the side of the road and could see the inside of my canister was orange/red in color. Eventually completely hacked off the canister and had a complete screamer. The exhaust was already non-resonated and then without a canister was insane. It would make me laugh just getting on it. I had planned on going to the J's 70RR which is why I did what I did, but never ended up getting it and then left Okinawa and sold the 5R for next to nothing. Though I still have the Amuse for the memories. And if I happen to pick up another DC5 while I am back in Japan again it will go on.

 

yea, im not going to use the j's bpipe or muffler anymore. my plans have chaged with the K and i will need a very wide exhaust for my setup. no one around here really makes titanium tubing so thats kind of out of the question so ill probably end up with just a mandrel bent setup.
