if you end up getting the exedy clutch you should post how it works out. I have burned mine out as well....way to early I might add because I did such heavy driving with a lot of shifting. I put 20k miles on just this year already :/ Didn't really matter my warranty is long gone as it's the clutch.... I probably don't have more than 5k miles on it before it's dead...so I'm doing the research on a good replacement.

let us know

yups i agree. but it should be like replacing a clutch from a civic or an integra. remove all the harness, remove the axle from both sides left and right. go underneath then unbolt transmission, but make sure to put a jack underneath the trans, so you can lower it and replace from there from the engine. will it be similar?

how long your clutch lasts depends greatly on how you drive or how much extra power your car is putting out compared to its factory counterpart.

^^truth

i have 38k on my Fit and most of that is from daily bumper to bumper traffic. i expect my clutch to go out within the next 10k or so. i was thinking about replacing the clutch myself but heard that it's more involved than an ef/eg/ek clutch replacement as the subframe needs to be removed to make space to drop the trans... man, i wish i had friends who were mechanics

^yeah i agree riding the clutch causes a bunch of unnecessary clutch wear.

haha i just meant how you drive your car, like heavy acceleration, high revs, stop and go (city), highway cruises, riding clutch, and so on.

i put 37k on my fit in 12 months i have the trans out now due to a bolt going through the gearsets and my clutch still looks like brand new. if anyone is interested in having their clutch replaced i can do them at my work (honda) for 150$ labor
