FIT and Finish

Is anyone else's interior falling apart?? My driver's door armrest is continuously popping out of place, and yesterday, I found the passenger-side kick panel coming loose from the door sill. At a little over a year old and 19k miles, I'm starting to get disappointed with the problems that keep happening. My Civic is an '02 (bought in '01) and 120k, and it's not even THINKING about coming loose anywhere.

Anyone else have this problem with the interior finish?

SEE your honda dealer about the arm rest issue, there is a service news the techs were made aware of last month about it not staying in place, and anything that doesn't stay put (where it was supposed to originally) should be under warrenty, they (dealer) should make it right (even if they just replace the worn clips not the whole piece) - hope this helps

1 year, 4 months and 40k miles and I've had no interior issues, with the exception of a noisy window motor which has been replaced under warranty.

How hard do you pull on those doors?!

It's not the part I pull on that's coming loose. It's the black, pebbled part that's coming apart. Every time I rest my elbow on it, it pops out.

HOLY CRAP CONFLICTED! My 2008 Fit, 43K miles, has the same exact problems! Driver arm rest popped off with a broken clip when I rested my elbow on it, and then the passenger kick panel popped out, and won't go back in right (it has a little gap now). I've been waiting for a wrecked one to pop up in the junk yard so I can get new panels.

Edison, the kick panel should go back in if you open the door and re-align it. You have to lift it up a little to snap it back into place. I'm glad I'm not the only one who's had this problem, even if it's only one other person. I wonder if it had something to do with the manufacture date or something...just a bad, albeit short, run of parts. Hmmm...

I think the clip is broken, as I've refitted it a number of times and it just never looks right.

Yeah...it popped out again today. And there's a pop-rivet missing from the hatch. Piece by piece, this car is coming apart inside. And I think I'll be talking to my dealer about it. I'm not hard on my car at ALL. I don't slam doors...I don't slam the hatch. I don't pop the clutch or two-wheel around corners. I'm not particularly over-cautious with it, but I'm not harsh with it, either. I just wonder since someone else had the EXACT problem if it's a bad batch.

I'll be putting in a call to my dealer tomorrow.

mine has popped off once, but i accidentally slammed my elbow into it.

the carpet however is beginning to tear where there is no footrest. granted i could buy aftermarket, but honda could have put something there to prevent it.

By any chance, did you have anyone install stereo stuff in it?
I am guessing not, but thought it was worth asking.

I noticed that the place that did my subwoofer did a horrendous job taking panels off and putting them back on.
