Optional factory exhaust

I just picked up a used 07 fit. It has a factory-optional exhaust (also reflected in the dealer installed options). It looks like it's just a huge tip welded onto a stock-ish looking muffler. Doesn't really sound aftermarket either. I know Honda did offer an optional exhaust for 07/08, but can't find any actual real information. Anyone know more about this?

Yes, it does look like the one you linked (just not shiny anymore with 49k).

Is this what the OEM one is supposed to look like?.....higher and tip curved down like on the Orange one?.... If that's the case I do have the optional Honda exhaust. So is it just a muffler? Full catback?

Thanks again.

The exhaust shown on the Vivid Blue Pearl is an HFP muffler; its only an axle back. The muffler on the BOM Fit is the plain OEM muffler.

Its good looking for sure, but performance-wise i dont really think it does anything. I wish mine came with an HFP but, 800 bucks...

HFP is just a nicer looking axle back than OEM.

I remember a while back when there were multiple people on this forum trying to sell their HFP's for like sub-$200... not a very popular muffler for sure.

so there is no increase in diameter of piping? Just a rust free muffler?

Inlet piping is the same size as the factory muffler. Internal piping look a bit bigger and it's a straight pipe all the way to the tip. It should flow a bit better then the factory muffler. It won't be as good as most aftermarket mufflers but it's quiet.

If you can find a used one in good shape why not. Save yourself some money.
If you like it new then Handa Accessories got them for cheapest price I see around.
