Car Alarm suggestions

Hello,

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good car alarm? I'm looking for an alarm that has 2 way pager notification and good motion sensors.

Last week, I woke up to find my 2007 Fit Sport on blocks. There was another Fit in my condo complex that was hit as well. I just got my car back with new wheels and I put on wheel locks, but I would also like to get a good alarm.

I understand that if a thief wants your car or wheels, they'll find a way to take it. I just want to make it a little harder and hopefully make them move on to "something easier".

I've never looked into car alarms before and I see there are so many types. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you

i got a Viper 5901 remote start w/ alarm. it works great so far. a far range and the 2 way remote tells you if your car alarm goes off (that is if you are in the range of course). its was around $250. i love it.

hope it helps! =)

Hi, I"m a recent owner of a 2007 Honda Fit Sport model with alloy wheels as well. Couple of questions I have, the car is equipped with 'anti-theft' with the original manufacture sticker on the window. What exactly is the anti-theft? I don't have car alarm yet.

Another concern I have is with the alloy wheels, what can I do to prevent thieves from taking mine? I saw on some other forum on a mini-cooper that they have a 'code' bolts on the wheels, does Honda Fit Sport have something of that nature?

ok the honda anti-theft is basically a alarm that goes off when the door unlocks without the use of the remote or the key. ( ex. if someone broke the window and pulled the door noob) and also the honda stereo system if it gets disconnected from the battery, it will ask you for a code so just in-case someone stole it, they wouldnt be able to use it.
thats the honda anti-theft

and on the wheel locks...i think thats what you are talking about. it is recommended. its is a special shaped "key whole"" if you will...it needs the "key" to unscrew the bolt on the wheel.
here is a honda one

it fits all vehicles.

thanks a lot! i also saw another thread within this forum that some suggested using 1 set of honda and also another set of locks from like a gorilla locks. I think i would do that, it's about $80 total for somewhat of a peace of mind.

just 1 more question. I cannot find the info on how long or wide the wheel lug is from the manual on the alloy wheels. Will the standard ones that I see from Amazon works on this 2007 Honda Fit Sports? (14mm & 1.5" thread)

Thanks a lot!
