Worth Buying This 2008 Fit ?

Hi ,

Well i might be buying this fit thats in neighborhood for a pick up what do you guys think about it and how much should i offer. since he got a " make offer choice probably lower the price a bit?

what do you guys think!? is there much of a difference between the sport and the basic one besides the body kit ?

and how much would the body kit cost for this fit? or should i just wait and look for a fit sport ?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2008-...hicle-glossary

Thanks!

Going to go with no, it has a sport hatch + wing + wheels but it's a base model. Seems really sketchy, on top of that, without a keyhole in the rear I'm not entirely sure how you can access the trunk without keyless entry.

2008 Honda Fit Base Hatchback Rear View Photo & Pictures at Automotive.com

Look at the right of the license plate area. That's the keyhole I'm talking about.

just to let you know this car was repaired and parts were replaced but im assuming it didn't go through insurance thats why the title is clear and there is no record of the accident or repair.... i would ask the seller what parts were replaced if they can't answer that have your mechanic or honda dealer inspect it for safety.

Thats an interesting NHBP Base and like previously stated it does have a sport rims, hatch, and spoiler on it. Sport rims are frequently stolen and the hatch with spoiler could have been either traded or bought. Whatever the case may be just ask for some sort of proof because you don't want a part claimed to be stolen being traced to you.

Around here, a numbers matching '08 Base with 40k miles goes at little over 11 grand and are primary autos. Now a 5 speed Base with 29k miles at that price is a good deal. You can offer a lower price for that Base due to having a non VIN matching hatch and spoiler, but I don't think the seller would bite for $8500.

And if you are referring to the OEM sport lip kit as a "body kit" the front lip is $217.82, rear lip is $206.97, and side skirts are $205.95 per side; which is a total of $836.69 without shipping from Bernardi Parts.

The difference between the Sport and Base models aside from the lip kit, spoiler, fog lights and 15 inch alloys is that the Sport also has cruise control, a 200 watt 6 speaker system (opposed to a 160 watt 4 speaker), alarm system, and paddle shifter mounted on the steering wheel (Autos only).

If it's too good to be true, walk away. That's my opinion on this situation.

so what i understand...it's a base that was ina crash and put back together with oem sport hatch, wing, wheels. anyone know what letter/number on the vin dictates sport/base?
factory alarm would be pointless to get if you're going to purchase one, just go with viper or something that'd be better for the less $$$. Or....think about purchasing my fit
