p2649 and fuel cut at 3750rpm

so i installed a greddy turbo kit on my fit and as i went for the first test drive around the block the cel came on and the car fuel cuts at around 3750 rpms. totally doesnt feel safe. i pulled a code and i got p2649. vtec solenoid high voltage. has any one had this problem when installing a turbo kit??? my car is an 07 and has 55k miles on it.

If the Greddy tuning alters the vtec operation it could be related but like I said it has happened to cars on here due to the solenoid going bad and they were stock as far as I can remember.... I'm an old guy so I might not remember things right all of the time.

lol no your not old..... but ya i looked other threads and i saw that... but i was just checking if the piggy back caused any problems with it. cause i dont want to buy a solenoid for 150 ish and it not be the problem.

and i tried clearing the code with a scan tool. is that considered resetting the ecu???

I am sorry I had some beer on an empty stomach and took a nap... Just removing the positive cable from the battery for a minute or so and reconnecting should clear the code but if the problem still exist it will do the same thing.

so i unplugged my piggy back harness and plugged in my regular harness to ecu. and cleared the code. started the engine but didnt drive it. code did not turn on. i plugged the piggy back back in and code instantly turned on. so i think it has something to do with either the piggy back harness or the e manage. im sure greddy will get back to my email on monday.

get rid of the emanage and get an aem fi/c. so much easier to deal with and will save you in the long run.

I have one but haven't put it to use yet. I am going to upgrade my KWSC to 10 PSI with the kit that is offered by them and will need the FI/C for additional tuning needed after doing the methanol/water injection thing..... There are a few threads made last year about it's use on supercharged and turbocharged Fits.

Are you sure to remove the POSITIVE cable? I was always taught to remove the NEGATIVE cable first...

I would love to if I hadn't already taken my medication..... I really shouldn't drink at all according to what my doctors say.... You go ahead and drink some for me and I will stay off of here if I have had a drink so I don't put out any bad info.
