new fit owner...some simple questions

I just drove 3 hours to get this fit i'm tired and beat with work in the morning.

So no time to read the manual now.

How do I change trip dometer, adjust clock?

My both fog lights lense cracked, should I just bought new complete housing?

The plastic cover beneath the front bumper is torn and almost dragging. Should I rip it out and try to find a way to stick it back up?

Wow!! Did you receive the car in this condition?
you can flip throw the trip meter by just pressing the button that adjusts ambient lighting brightness between your gauges. and press and hold to reset the trip on the desired screen.

as for the clock, its all on the radio. you should see some time buttons. i believe.. not 100% sure

fogs, if its severely cracked and about to break replace em, otherwise if its not a big deal I'd just stay with em unless you yourself are dissatisfied.

the plastic you should probably remove, not rip. theyre are basic clips holding them in that can be removed with flathead screwdriver. its just a dust/debris cover nothing really super super important.

^^^

The oil life meter can be a little interesting. Once I reset it in an apparently wrong way and it took Trip B with it. Not that it mattered, I use trip B for the oil mileage anyway.

I do believe the radio has to be off to set the clock. IIRC hold the Sound button, then on the numbers there's H/M/R (hours minutes resetminutes).

Go ahead and take the time to read the manual. There's some good info in there that I, as a professional driver, didn't know.

Take a look at getting a set of those knockoff fog lights on eBay. I almost bought a set but didn't because I didn't want to hack into the car's wiring. Since your problem is cracked lenses, you can replace them with the knockoffs and keep the stock wiring.

Next month will mark 4 years with my Fit and I am still lost without the manual..... My wife can change the clock settings from memory and she is seldom in the Fit anymore, I think senility is coming on early for me.

I think it must be catching. I've had Sippy for three years and I still have to check the manual everytime the time changes.

Imagine what would happen if a young Soldier or Marine had to use a real map and compass to direct an artillery mission or air strike under triple canopy jungle at night.... GPS has probably saved a lot of American lives and caused death and destruction to those unfortunate enough to be a target..... I had to do it the old fashioned way and we never knew exactly where we were and close calls could be deadly.... The old guy is rambling and apologizes for getting off topic.
