My fit is sweet to cover. It was was less then my 07 SI, it has a lot to do with car, year and location. I moved from an apt to a house. That saved me $100 right there just on location.

I pay $65 a month with 3 cars, house, trailer and over 20 years without a ticket or claim. The GD3 is kinda spendy to insure.

My new 2010 Fit costs $7 more per month to insure than my 1995 Subaru Wagon. Must be all the safety features. I was expecting a much bigger increase.

Right now it's fairly reasonable, a little over $100/month for full coverage incl. medical.

Helps to shop around. When I first bought the fit, Allstate wanted $700/month to insure this car. A reputable local company did it for about $160.

Dang man why so high. When i had a 08 fit sport i payed $85 a month for full coverage. My insurance company said it was so high because there is not alot of crash ratings on the Fit because it was a new model in the states. Hmm i now pay $178 for 2 previas and my S2000CR. But i know droped the two previas to minimal coverage because they are old and kept the Cr at full coverage. My new cost is $153 a month im 25 and have not had a ticket in about 2 years. But i will be adding a Fit to my collection soon i hope with in the next year if i can find one for under $10k with less than 30k miles for the GF

Not 25 yet. Plus i have this license suspension hanging over me. One night in college i got caught walking down the road with a beer can and was a week shy of my 21st. automatic 30 day license suspension. Insurance companies dont like that.

I'm paying $125 a month. I'm 21, and the Fit is newer so replacement parts might be more expensive than my Ford Ranger I had before, which is probably why I saw my insurance jump $25/month when I got the Fit. However, I got a 100% on my driving test 4 years ago, have never caused an accident (rearended twice but didn't go on my insurance, so that hasn't affected rates), have never even been pulled over, much less ticketed, and I am going to graduate college in a few months with only 4 B's. I have no clue how much more I'd be paying if I weren't a good driver, or what it'll jump to when I finally do get in an accident...

Asking someone else what they pay for insurance is about as productive as asking someone else what they pay for groceries. There are too many factors that enter into the cost. Geographic location is one of the big reasons along with age of the driver, driving history, credit score, etc.

The best thing a person can do is check the various insurance companies available in the area they live in and go from there. You might find company A cheaper just a few counties or states over from you but company B is better in your county.

Have a company here in Cali called Wawanesa. Cheap, good insurance. I pay $95 a month for my '08. Also, depending on the insurance company, if you buy a beater car and park it in your driveway and add it on your policy for just liability it sometimes will actually lower the entire cost of your policy because of the multicar discount. Say you drive that one 12,000 a year and your new car under 5,000. That's what I do

I pay $103/month for the Fit, and $55/month for the Nissan Cube. I have two tickets on my record, both of which will be gone be October this year and my wife and are both over 25. I also have some of the best coverage you can buy here in Cali. I'm not a fan of getting the minimum required by law just to save a few bucks.

As to anyone paying a lot for auto insurance, shop around, go to AIS and they will give you several quotes from a bunch of companies. You should look for new insurance every year, just to make sure you have the lowest rate possible.
